Angel Food Cake With Chocolate Cream

Decadent!

I will never forget the day I first tasted grilled angel food cake with a dollop of chocolate cream. Nothing has really been the same since. Of course, you can make your own cake if you prefer, but store bought is the simple and guaranteed to be the soft option.

For the chocolate cream:

8 tablespoons icing sugar

4 tablespoons of cocoa powder

2 tablespoons milk

1 cup (250ml) cream

1 pinch of cream of tartar
Angel Food Cake With Chocolate Cream

8 slices of fat store-bought angel food cake

1-2 tablespoons of icing sugar for dusting

For the chocolate cream, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder and milk in a small bowl. Busy. In a separate bowl, beat the cream of tartar until soft. Whisk the mixture to the chocolate until well blended. Cover and refrigerate.

Preheat the grill or hot plate. Dust slices of angel food cake with icing sugar. Grilled slices 1 minute on each side until golden grill marks appear on the surface. Transfer to plates and top with chocol
ate cream.
